One shop word, more than one plantShankhapushpi is not a species.
Shankhapushpi is a shop word for more than one plant. Many North Indian lists mean Evolvulus alsinoides, a tiny blue bindweed. Packets also steal the Sanskrit for Clitoria ternatea, a large pea-flower. A third list plant is Convolvulus prostratus, the dry-country bindweed older books call C. pluricaulis. This page will not pick a winner.
